Childs i Foundation Offers Practitioners' Perspective at Uganda's National Virtual Learning Event on Child Wellbeing

Child i Foundation was invited by the Ugandan government to attend and present at the recent Child Wellbeing During and Post Covid-19 event, held in November 2020 in Uganda. Organised by the Department of Youth & Children Affairs at the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, the event brought together policy and law makers, NGOs and educators to discuss how children had been affected by the pandemic. Nshakira Keren of Childs i Foundation talked about how they had seen an increase in violence in homes directed at children, especially girls. The foundation called on partners to galvanise efforts to ensure that Uganda’s children are protected. The event gained coverage across social and mainstream media.
