Saying Goodbye to Lucy at Childs i Foundation

Last week we said goodbye to founder and CEO of Childs i Foundation, Lucy Buck. On behalf of Olwyn Foundation, we would all like to thank Lucy for her incredible work, her passion and her drive which has transformed Childs i Foundation into a major force for change in Uganda. We were delighted to attend a fundraising ball in Lucy’s honour at Merchant Taylors hall in the city of London. The ball was filled with supporters past and present of the charity and everyone was there to celebrate the achievements of Lucy. Chris Muwanguzi, the new CEO did a roaring stint as compere! Olwyn would also like to thank our generous friends for providing some amazing prizes for the auction, which raised a total of £38,000 on the night. Thanks goes to Stella McCartney for the evening bag, Pandora for the jewellery and our friend, actress Doon Mackichan for giving her time for Afternoon Tea to one lucky bidder. We wish Lucy all the very best in all her future endeavours and look forward to working with Chris and the team in 2020.
